Are you currently enrolled in a PhD Program, and seeking advice, mentorship, or guidance from other women of color?

... Tired of being the only black woman in your cohort, or perhaps one of the only ones in your entire department - and therefore the designated 'Students of Color' 'representative' and 'spokeswoman' on all things relating to your race?

(3)  Black Woman PhD:

Have you recently completed your PhD?

Congratulations, you made it! ... Do you remember what it was like - how you struggled - during your journey to where you are today?

“It won’t be lonely at the top if we go together.”

~Founder, BWPHD

STEP 1. SIGN-UP

Sign-up, help spread the word and grow this network of support. Many of us are the only women of color in our respective programs. We will work together to see this change.

Please pass this site along to anyone you know who could benefit from this collective educational experience.

STEP 2. SUPPORT-SySTEM

Through this partnership, we will create a strong support-system for one another. By sharing information, resources, and experiences, we will work to increase shared knowledge among Black Women in PhD programs across the country. We will grow together, thereby diversifying and improving the culture of our academic institutions along the way.
